You are welcome to drive in and find your unit by following the unit name pointers. The units are not locked and the keys can be left in the door on departure.

We have no wifi, but good cell phone reception.

The unit is equipped with everything you need for self-catering: fridge, cutlery, crockery, pots & pans, 2 or 3 plate stove, dishwashing soap, bedding and towels etc. 

Planning and packing tips:

Avani is 100% self-catering on all consumables except wood.

Bring bath and shower soap, coffee & tea, salt & pepper and all consumables, hiking boots, swimming gear, extra ice.

Ewald provides ample wood for the wood-burning Hot Tub and the outside Braai/Fireplace. Axes are provided if you need to chop some kindling.

Bring Blitz/fire starters and matches. We burn our braai grids clean, if you like it shiny, please bring your own.

Please do not change the geezer settings and open only the hot tap for warm water. 

Replace the Hot Tub stove lid exactly as you found it after adding more wood for optimal heat.

We have a super fluffy resident cat, made of love, at Avani. His name is Sebastian and he roams the outdoors as he pleases. Please bring your antihistamine if you have cat allergies.

*As we are situated out in open nature, surrounded by farms, we ocationally experience a bit of a fly problem. They follow light and we strongly suggest not to leave any food outside the fridge and clean prep surfaces with Dettol or vinegar to deter them from lingering.

No babies or children are accommodated in the two-sleeper units. Children are welcome at our family units; Parrastoel and Truffle.

Please note each unit (except Parrastoel for up to 6 people and Truffle for up to 4 people) is set up for two people only.

Except for Truffle, we regret the property is not wheelchair-friendly due to steps and the rough terrain.

We adhere to a low / no-noise policy. 

No smoking inside units.

Outside smokers: Please place stubs in the bin, not in the veld.

Absolutely no day visitors allowed.

Cancellation Policy:

 If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.

 If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.

 If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.

 If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
